Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Not gonna tell you this is THE BEST Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie because literally everyone says that about their choco chip cookie, but you should still make them because they’re real good and you should definitely add this to your chocolate chip cookie recipe rotation/collection 🍪

The parchment paper I use:

Perfect cookie scooper:

Recipe: yields 9 cookies

1 stick unsalted butter, browned and cooled

2 Tbs honey

1 whole egg

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 C ( 100g ) granulated sugar

1/2 C ( 100g ) light brown sugar

2 tsp ( 6g ) kosher salt

1 1/4 C ( 170g ) all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 C ( 200g ) semi sweet chocolate chunks

( I used a mix of guittard 64% chocolate and Aldi semi sweet chocolate chunk )

1. In a small sauce pot melt butter and simmer until it starts to bubble up and turns into a light amber color, add in honey and mix to combine

2. In a mixing bowl combine both granulated sugar, brown sugar and salt, pour the cooled browned butter/honey mixture over the sugars and combine

3. Add in egg and vanilla extract, mix until the mixture is homogeneous

4. Stir in AP flour and baking soda, then add in chocolate chunks and mix until no dry flour is visible

5. Scoop the chocolate chip cookie dough with a portion scoop and freeze for at least 2 hours but overnight is preferred

6. When ready to bake pre heat over to 350F, line a half sheet tray with parchment paper and place frozen cookie dough on top, sprinkle with sea salt

7. Bake for 12-13 minutes. Enjoy!!
